August 2nd started a new and exciting chapter at The Meridian as that is the date we welcomed our new manager Kenesha Hurlston Anderson. Kenesha has been working with Lee at The Meridian since June 4th, however with Lee’s departure on August 2, Kenesha officially takes over. Kenesha has picked Lee’s brain about the past years of Meridian history, its wonderful attributes, shortfalls of a 19-year-old building, and pending and long-term projects. She is thus well positioned to take on the manager role.

Kenesha, her husband Ryan and two boys, Nathaniel and Aidan are proud Caymanians. Kenesha and Ryan will be living in the Manager’s apartment as will her boys when they are home; they both are at University in Vancouver. Her previous hospitality experience was as Manager and Assistant Manager of The Grandview Condominiums for 15 years. She then worked as property manager for 3 different companies including Dart. However, Kenesha’s focus and passion was as manager of a condominium complex and not large corporate developments. The Board interviewed several candidates to replace Lee; Kenesha presented professionally, asked excellent questions and responded well to situational examples posed by the Board. The Board made the decision to hire her in May.

Kenesha and Lee bonded very quickly. Kenesha has a very likable personality with good interpersonal skills; she and the staff have developed positive relationships. Kenesha brings strong computer skills. She knows and has met many of our existing contractors, tradespeople and suppliers and has had proactive dealings with them. She also has many contacts from her previous positions.
